Wow, there are two on the east coast now? I would like to see points awarded for distance traveled somehow. I think traveling cross country is as interesting and point worthy as 25 caches in the same town. Anybody else agree? Maybe a bonus each time your TB visits a new state (it'd be fun to have a goal to get to all 50). Maybe a bonus for each 100 or 1000 miles traveled or something?
Agreed - I think next year we'll put a limit of points for caches visited, like a max of 5 per day. Right now, our winners are getting more points for being dipped in caches than anything else. We did have a task idea of getting to all 50 states, and I like the idea of bonus points for each state visited. The distance bonus is a little tricky since some of the bugs visited a 'traveling cache' and got a ton of mileage but didn't even leave the Block Party event!
