TASKS
Travelbugs receive points for completing a task. Originally we were only going to do one task at a time and then switch tasks after 3 bugs completed it. After much discussion, we have amended our race design to leave all tasks open and available for any bug who wishes to pursue them. The first task was to get out of Washington State since the starting line was at the Groundspeak Block Party on August 20, 2011 in Seattle, WA.Basic Rules for Completing Tasks
1) The travelbug must be visible in picture.
2) Bugs will only receive points for completing tasks once, unless otherwise specified within task details.
Visit a State Capital (50 points)
This task may be completed in different states, but bugs will not receive points for visiting the same state capital twice. Acceptable pictures to complete this task include state buildings, a sign displaying the name of the capital. We would also accept visiting a cache near the capital with some reference to the capital in the cache name or description. Please post a note, or include the name of the capital in your picture description on geocaching.com to ensure that the racer receives points for completing the task.

Assisted by Subman123, Manzana visited the AZ state capital (can you name it?) on September 17, 2011. Subman123 went on to dominate the race by boosting Manzana into a fierce lead with over 1,000 visited caches.
3) Meisters - CA, UT, CO
On March 26, 2012, the Meisters visited Sacramento with some help from ashrkfn. They also landed in the capitals of Utah and Colorado! They had an amazing run with Ashrkfn!
4) Guncle - IA, MN, KS, NB, ND
Guncle has made it all the way to Des Moines, Iowa on April 27,2012, thanks to mmswift. He is completing tasks and rapidly climbing the scoreboard! Guncle also made it to St. Paul, MN, Topeka, KS, and Lincoln, NB! TheBalks has taken him to Bismarck, North Dakota on 6/17/12!
Spell RACE (100 points)
To complete this task you must spell RACE using the names of visited caches. RACE must be spelled in order, with no other letters in between. If you get R-A and then visit a different cache, you have to start over at R. Please post a note to geocaching.com with the names of your visited caches so points can be awarded.
